The Odisha Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved the creation of 120 new posts in the Odisha Secretariat Service (OSS) cadre at Group-A level. The addition of new posts will ensure effective monitoring, implementation of plans and timely delivery of services under the 5T framework.
In order to provide secretarial support for timely and speedy delivery of public services to the officers of the State Administration in the Secretariat, the State Government first introduced the service cadre of “Executive Assistant / Personal Assistant / Private Secretary Service Cadre of Odisha Secretariat”. The Government considered it necessary to upgrade the number to 25 (twenty five) in order to equip the administration by providing experienced senior secretarial support staff to the officers in the Secretariat. Cancellation of various posts i.e. Senior Private Secretary (11 posts), Principal Private Secretary (8 posts), Senior Principal Private Secretary (5 posts) and Superintendent and ex-officio Additional Secretary (1 post) in the grade of 25 (twenty five posts). The vacant posts are Junior Executive Assistant (9 Posts), Senior Executive Assistant (9 Posts), Personal Assistant (4 Posts) and Private Secretary (3 Posts) from the Group-C and Group-B posts Odisha Secretariat Exe. Assistant / PA / PS Cadre in Home Department.
