51-kilometer Kamakhyanagar-Duburi National Highway NH-53 has been Dedicated to the Nation.

Union Minister for Home Affairs, Shri Amit Shah, and Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik of Odisha jointly inaugurated a significant infrastructure project. The newly completed 51-kilometer Kamakhyanagar-Duburi section of National Highway NH-53 has been dedicated to the nation. This crucial road, constructed at a cost of ₹761 crore, is expected to have a major impact. It will connect the coal-rich area of Talcher to the steel manufacturing hub, Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur.

During the event, the Union Home Minister and the Chief Minister also took part in the foundation stone laying ceremony for the expansion and strengthening of the Moter-Banner Road via Ladugaon in Kalahandi. This move is part of the larger vision for a #NewOdisha, which showcases a remarkable transformation across different sectors. The efforts made in Odisha are becoming a standard for others to follow.

Highlighting the importance of connectivity, the Chief Minister emphasized that it is the cornerstone of the state’s progress and the empowerment of its people. He pointed out the example of the Gurupriya Bridge in Malkangiri, stating that its construction has played a pivotal role in the development of the Swabhiman Anchal region.

The Kamakhyanagar-Duburi highway upgrade and the Moter-Banner Road expansion are seen as significant steps towards boosting connectivity and fostering growth in the region. With the coal and steel industries being vital contributors to the state’s economy, these developments are expected to further stimulate economic activities and improve the overall quality of life for the people of Odisha.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan arrived at Bhubaneswar airport

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is accelerating its campaign for south expansion. To give impetus to this campaign, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will reach Bhubaneswar on Sunday night. A large crowd gathered outside Bhubaneswar airport to welcome Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Amit Shah is visiting Bhubaneswar for the first time after becoming the Union Home Minister. Amit Shah last reached Odisha during the 2019 elections. During this he addressed a public meeting in Bhubaneswar.

The Union Home Minister will attend several programs along with Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday.

The walls of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack are lined with posters, banners and placards of Shah. Amit Shah will begin his tour after the darshan of Lord Siva at Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar. He will then travel to Cuttack to visit the birthplace of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in the Oriya market. The Home Minister will also conduct a road show from Oriya Bazar to Indoor Stadium. At the stadium, he will participate in the 75th-anniversary celebrations of Odia daily newspaper ‘Prajatantra’. This newspaper was founded by former Chief Minister Hare Krishna Mahtab. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will also participate in the program and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) workers have also made preparations for his grand welcome.

Mr. Shah Will be involved in many programs that include meetings of the core committee of the party’s state unit at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters in Cuttack. Later, he will release the Odisha edition of ‘ModiET20: Dreams Meet Delivery’, a book on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2001 till the next 20 years. Shah will leave from Odisha on Monday night.

BJP’s state unit president Sami Mohanty said that “there is a lot of enthusiasm among the party workers in the state”. The ruling BJD and opposition Congress in Odisha are also keeping a close watch on Shah’s visit.
