Actor Jonathan Majors Arrested
New York: According to authorities, Jonathan Majors, known for his roles in “Creed III” and “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania,” was arrested on Saturday in New York on charges of assault, harassment, and strangulation. The New York City police responded to a 911 call from an apartment in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, where a domestic dispute between Majors and a 30-year-old woman had occurred.
The NYPD spokesperson stated that the victim reported being assaulted and that officers took Majors into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
As of Saturday night, Majors was no longer in police custody. However, a representative for Majors denied any wrongdoing on his part and stated that they looked forward to clearing his name.
Majors is a rising star in Hollywood, having gained recognition for his work in “The Last Black Man in San Francisco,” “Da 5 Bloods,” “The Harder They Fall,” and “Devotion.” He also stars in “Magazine Dreams,” a film set to be released by Searchlight Pictures in December, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival recently.
