Renowned Indian politician and President of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Sharad Pawar, has abruptly resigned from his position. Pawar, who is considered as one of the senior opposition leaders of the country, had earlier formed a government in Maharashtra by bringing together the Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP.
