QUAD Summit: PM Modi leaves for Japan

New Delhi: The PM has left for Japan on Sunday night to attend the Tokyo Quad Summit. PM Modi will visit Tokyo from 23 to 24 May at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. 

This visit of PM Modi is going to be very important to further boost investment in India. Giving a brief on Prime Minister Modi’s engagements with Japanese businessmen, Indian Ambassador to Japan Sanjay Kumar Verma said Tokyo is excited about this vist. PM Modi and his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida expected to invest five trillion JPY in India through public, and private partnership funding. Japan is very excited about the opportunities in India, Verma told news agency ANI. Especially about PLI Scheme Schemes. So we need to understand them better. When the prime ministers of the two countries met at the 14th summit in New Delhi this year in March 2022, they had ambitions to invest five trillion Japanese yen in India through public, private, and financing modes. Along with this, he said that quad leaders will also take initiative for diversification of reliable supply chains and will have a special discussion on them.
