New Delhi: The World Health Organization (WHO) has further delayed the approval for the “Emergency Use” of the Covaxin Covid-19 vaccine produced by the Hyderabad-based pharmaceutical company Bharat Biotech. According to our sources, WHO has asked Bharat Biotech, to answer some more questions. This could have a detrimental effect on Indians, especially students, and on international travel plans.
Covaxin would not be considered an acceptable vaccine by most countries around the world without the approval of emergency use. Even after India claimed that Biotech had answered all the questions, WHO asked the more question again.
Notably, the World Health Organization (WHO) has so far issued emergency use approvals to AstraZeneca, Moderna, and Sinopharm.
