NALCO bags National Energy Conservation Award

 The Smelter Plant of state-run National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), located at Angul, has bagged the National Energy Conservation Award in Aluminium Sector for the year 2017.

On behalf the company, Regional Manager (Northern Region) PK Pradhan received the award from the Director General of Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Abhay Bakre, at the National Energy Conservation Award ceremony held in Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi recently.

President Ram Nath Kovind graced the National Energy Conservation Day celebrations as the Chief Guest. Besides, Union Minister of State (IC) for Power and New & Renewable Energy Raj Kumar Singh was also present on the occasion.

NALCO has always given importance to energy conservation through its operations at its plants and units. Going a step further, the company has also taken up significant green initiatives to harness unconventional energy sources like solar and wind power plants.
