With an aim to help meritorious students getting higher education in medical, engineering and other technical streams and fulfil their academic goals, Adani Foundation has presented Merit Scholarship to 67 students of Dhamra Port peripheral high schools for the year 2017-18.

Sixty seven meritorious students from nine schools of the Port periphery were awarded with the cheques at a special function held recently. Dhamra Port CEO Subrat Tripathy, VP (Corporate Affairs) Jagat Parija and Unit Head (CSR) Subash Ray were among others who graced the function.

Notably, “DPCL Merit Scholarship” was introduced by the company in 2009 with an objective to encourage meritorious students to pursue higher studies. The scholarship carries monthly stipend of Rs 1000 for a duration of two years to the awardees. Several  bright students belonging to economically weaker sections of the society who couldn’t pursue higher education due to their financial conditions are getting benefited by this noble initiative of Adani Foundation.
