IDCO conferred ‘Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar




 The Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar was today conferred on Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) for playing a key role in successfully hosting the 22nd Asian Athletics Championships in the State capital.

IDCO Chairman-cum-Managing Director Sanjay Kumar Singh received the award from President Ram Nath Kovind at a function at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi on the occasion of National Sports Day. Notably, IDCO had played a major role in getting the infrastructure ready for the 22nd Asian Athletics Championships in record 90 days. The mega sporting event was held at the Kalinga Stadium here from July 6 to 9.

Besides, IDCO, being the promoter of Kalinga Lancers in the Hockey India League and the only state PSU owned franchisee in the tournament, played significant role in nurturing talent and popularising hockey.
