Three from State chosen for Sangeet Natak Akademi Award




 Odissi guru Ratikant Mohapatra, theatre director Satyabrata Rout and Pala singer Laxmidhar Rout have been selected for the prestigious Kendra Sangeet Natak Akademi Samman.

These personalities have been picked for their immense contribution to dance, music and theatre and other performing arts in the State. They will receive the awards from President Pranab Mukherjee at a special function in New Delhi.

The awards were instituted in 1952 to recognise sustained individual work and contribution.
