Three killed, two injured in Ganjam district




 Three persons were killed and two others critically injured when lightning struck them at Bhatakhali hill in Ganjam district.

        The mishap took place while the victims were returning from work at a stone quarry last evening, police said.

        The deceased were identified as Narayan Sahu (35) of Subalaya, Sushant Sahu (42) of Kaniara and Bhasi Nahak (51) of Bhejiput, said Inspector In-Charge of Kabisurya Nagar police station, B K Pradhan.
        The two persons who suffered burn injuries were admitted to Aska hospital and their condition was stated to be serious, police said.
