Seashore CMD granted bail by HC




 Orissa High Court today granted bail to the Chairman and Managing Director of Seashore Limited Prashant Das.

Sources said Das was granted bail in three of the cases filed against him. After hearing the three cases filed from Koraput, Jeypore and Semiliguda areas, the HC granted unconditional bail to Prashant today noon.

Notably, Prashant has been behind bars since 2013 after the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha Crime Branch arrested him from Mumbai on June 19, 2013 following allegations of fraud. Prashant and five other directors of the Seashore Group have been slapped with charges under several sections of Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act of 1978 for allegedly siphoning off investor’s money to the tune of nearly Rs 500 crore into other business.
