BJD loss due to mass resentment, says Dharmendra

The Star campaigner of BJP and Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today reiterated that mass resentment against Naveen’s dispension was the foremost reason for the ruling BJD’s rout in the Panchayat polls in State.

The Union Minister said the loss of BJD by over six thousand votes in the epicenter of Japanese Encephalitis in Malkangiri district is the bright example.

Pradhan told reporters that the rout in Kalahandi, where the Dana Majhi incident occurred, has proved that people have lost their faith in Naveen Patnaik government.

He asserted that the BJD leaders have become aggressive following their losses. “The BJD leaders have questioned the allegation of BJP that government officials were interfering in the poll process,” Pradhan said.

“The State is heading towards a change and the BJD leaders should realize this and accordingly change their attitude,” he added.

He also rebutted the opposition allegation that BJP has joined hands with the Congress.

“It is BJD Parliamentary party leader Bhartruhari Mahtab who had told reporters that his party may consider joining hands with Congress to defeat the BJP,” Pradhan said adding Mahtab has not replied to the notice served on him by party leadership.

From asking his party men to ‘live a simple life and serve the people’ to taunting the BJP for its ‘crocodile tears’, Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik has not only become politically invincible, he seems to be so in the coming years too.
