Naveen campaigns for BJD candidates

Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal supremo Naveen Patnaik today held road shows in Ganjam district in support of BJD candidates in the panchayat polls.

The BJD supremo attended 33 road shows and travelled around 80 km with people standing on both sides of the road.

Patnaik through road show touched almost all the gram panchayats in Hinjili and Sheragada blocks under his assembly constituency Hinjili.
During his road-show in these two blocks, Patnaik stopped at least in six places, three places in each blocks to introduce his party candidates to the people and appealed to the people to vote for BJD candidates in the panchayat elections.
Patnaik started his road show from Hinjili and ended it at Sheragada.
The panchayat elections in Hinjili and Sheragada were scheduled to be held on February 21, the last phase of the five-phased panchayat elections in the state.
Hinjili and Sheragada have 21 and 22 panchayats respectively, while six members of zilla parishad will be elected from both the blocks.
The panchayat elections will be held in five phases on February 13, 15, 17, 19 and 21.

Précis 2017
From asking his party men to ‘live a simple life and serve the people’ to taunting the BJP for its ‘crocodile tears’, Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik has not only become politically invincible, he seems to be so in the coming years too.
