Five injured in pre-poll violence




 Five persons were injured during a clash between rival political parties in Kendrapara district ahead of panchayat elections in the State, police said today.

"The incident took place last night at Rajagada village between two rival parties following which police were rushed to the spot," SP Dayanidhi Gochayat said.

"Those injured are receiving treatment at Kendrapara district hospital," he said. The three-tier panchayat elections will be held in five phases from February 13.
