CS for elimination of unfair means during Matric examination




 Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi today directed district administrations, police and all those connected with conduct of Matriculation examination to eliminate use of unfair means during the examination.

Reviewing the preparations for the ensuing examination through video conference, Padhi asked the officials to strictly implement the provision of Odisha Conduct of Examination Rules 1988 to make the examination a credible affair.

Police DGP KB Singh, who also participated in the review, informed the officials that an elaborate guideline will soon be dispatched to them in this regard.

Padhi directed the collectors to form special squads for smooth conduct of the examination in their respective districts.

School and Mass Education Secretary Ranjana Chopra informed that over six lakh students are appearing in the examination this year in State  in 2938 centres and 295 Nodal Centres.

She said the admit cards have been uploaded on the website since yesterday and it will be available in respective schools from February 21.

The question papers will be sent to the Nodal Centres by February 20 and the examination centres a day before the examination.

The evaluation of answer papers will begin from March 20 at 60 centres to conclude on April 2, she said.
